Hardware - Voice Supressor A voice supressor (rather like the one built into winOKE) can be built with a small amount of electronics.
The operation of the circuit is much like that of the one built into winOKE except rather than cutting the trebble it boosts and passes through the bass. The sound resulting from this curcuit is therefore better than the output of the winOKE software voice supressor.
Circuit OperationThe inputs are taken in many directions, the first combines the two to form a mono signal, this is then fed in two directions. In one direction it goes through a low-pass filter.
The inputs also go through some processing of their own, one is inverted. The two are then combined and then combined with the signal from above (with the low-pass filter.)
At this point there is now a signal with bass added back in and the two chanels subtracted from each other, and a signal of the two added together. The final variable resistor allows you to select how much of each signal you want in the output.
ConclusionThis circuit is as sucessful as the software version built into winOKE. It won't always work however the resulting sound should be of a better quality.
